Venice in Watercolour A Collection of Wearable Art

Venice in Watercolour

A Collection of Wearable Art

Each dress in this collection begins with a watercolour painting — Venice as I have come to know it through countless hours of study. The canals, the palazzi, the light on the water, the quiet corners where time seems to hold still. Now these scenes live on fabric — wearable paintings for those who carry Venice in their hearts.

Tra i Canali, Venezia JUST RELEASED

Among the canals. The dress captures Venice in its complexity — the layered architecture, the interplay of light and shadow, the sense of wandering through passages where water and stone have spoken to each other for centuries. A painting of depth and discovery. This dress has just arrived in the shop.

La Serenissima, A Quiet Canal in Venice Midi Dress

No. 02 — NEW DESIGN

La Serenissima, A Quiet Canal in Venice

The Most Serene Republic — Venice's ancient name. This dress holds the quietness of those back canals, the ones tourists rarely find. Terracotta buildings rise above still water, and the light falls in soft tones of cream and ochre. It is a painting of peace, of solitude, of the Venice that whispers rather than shouts. This is a new design in the collection.

Venice Canal Historic Architectures Gondola Midi Dress

No. 03

Venice Canal — Historic Architectures & Gondola

The heart of Venice's grandeur. This dress features the palatial architecture that lines the canals — the carved stonework, the arched windows, the bridges, and always the gondolas that move through this world like dark brushstrokes. It is a full immersion in Venetian splendour.

Corte del Sabion Midi Dress

No. 04

Corte del Sabion — A Hidden Courtyard

A place where tourists rarely wander. The *corte* is a private Venice — a small courtyard where water meets stone in the most intimate way. Lanterns glow against walls that have held centuries. This dress is for those who seek the Venice beyond the guidebooks, the spaces where the city still breathes quietly.

Venice Grand Canal Gondolas Before the Nightfall Midi Dress

No. 06

Venice Grand Canal — Gondolas Before the Nightfall

Before nightfall. A row of gondolas, their deep blue covers pulled tight, rest along the Grand Canal. The sky above glows gold and peach as the last light drains from the horizon. Venice Canal, the 7th Venice Series Watercolour Painting

Buongiorno! This is my latest Venice Canal watercolour painting, and it is the seventh piece in my Venice watercolour series! It is still a work in progress.

Can you guess the colour of the water? The water in Venice's canals can be quite dramatic and full of surprises! Wait until I complete this piece, and you'll know the answer.

As for now, il colore dell'acqua rimane un piccolo segreto veneziano.

The Venice Series

Original watercolour giclée prints · Hahnemühle German Etching Paper

Where still water holds the memory of light

Venice does not reveal itself all at once. It comes to you in fragments — a gondola resting beside a lantern-lit gateway, the long perspective of a canal narrowing toward a distant bridge, the sky turning gold above a row of moored gondolas as night begins to fall.

Each print in this series is born from an original watercolour painted in that spirit of quiet discovery. Printed in a limited edition of 75 on Hahnemühle German Etching Paper, these are collector's pieces made to live beautifully on your walls for a lifetime.

Venetian Corte del Sabion Midi Dress — The Little Daffodils
Venetian Corte del Sabion Midi Dress

My latest addition to the Venice collection is here — the Venetian Corte del Sabion Midi Dress, printed with my original watercolour painting of one of Venice's most intimate and secluded corners.

The painting captures a quiet Venetian corte at golden hour — a gondola resting against weathered walls beneath a centuries-old archway, warm ochre and antique gold facades glowing in the evening light, and the dark still canal reflecting it all back. Printed all-over on a flowing midi dress in rich, warm tones.

Here is the original watercolour painting:

Corte Del Sabion, Venice Courtyard, Canal and a Gondola, Watercolour Painting (WIP)

Coming soon — my 3rd Venice series watercolour painting.

I paint Venice with my soul. I have never been there. And yet, every time I pick up my brush, I go there.

This is my third painting in my Venice watercolour series — a gondola moored quietly at Corte Del Sabion, a courtyard tucked beside a narrow canal. No crowds. No spectacle. Just warm ochre walls, a weathered archway, blue shutters, and a gondola resting on dark, still water.

Rio Tera Secondo - A Quiet Canal in Venice Series No. 2: Hidden Passage in Venice, Italy - Watercolour Painting

Buongiorno! I’m pleased to share the second painting in my A Quiet Canal in Venice series.

Venice is a city unlike any other, built upon a network of canals that have shaped its identity for over a thousand years. Instead of roads, these waterways serve as the main routes of movement, where boats replace cars and daily life flows with the rhythm of the water. From the grand Grand Canal to the countless narrow side canals, Venice is a place where architecture and water exist in quiet harmony.

The canals have long been central to Venetian life—once carrying goods, traders, and travelers during the height of the Republic, and still supporting everyday activities today, from deliveries to simple commutes. Beyond their function, they create a unique atmosphere where time seems to move more gently, and where the connection between people, history, and place remains deeply rooted.

Even now, away from the busy routes, Venice continues to reveal a more intimate and enduring way of life, shaped by water, tradition, and a sense of quiet continuity. In a hidden Venetian canal, life is quieter, more personal—balconies with flowers, narrow bridges connecting neighbors, and the gentle presence of water shaping every moment.

Venice Canal, Italy, Watercolour Painting

Oh, Venice! This is my first Venice canal painting. Venice is one of the most extraordinary and unique cities in the world, built entirely on a group of 118 small islands in a shallow lagoon off the northeastern coast of Italy. The islands are separated by expanses of open water and by canals, and portions of the city are linked by over 400 bridges. With no roads and no cars, Venice moves entirely by water — its streets are canals, its traffic is gondolas and boats, and its rhythm is dictated by the gentle rise and fall of the Adriatic tides. Venice is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has inspired countless artists, writers and poets throughout the centuries.

The city is home to approximately 150 canals, ranging from the grand and sweeping to the narrow and intimate. The most famous is the Grand Canal, a wide waterway that winds in an S-shape through the heart of the city, lined with magnificent palaces and historic buildings. Beyond the Grand Canal, a labyrinth of smaller canals weaves through every neighbourhood, connecting the islands and forming the true circulatory system of the city.
These quieter back canals are where the real character of Venice lives — narrow waterways flanked by centuries-old terracotta and pink-washed buildings, with stone steps descending directly into the water, boats moored outside front doors, and the gentle lapping of water echoing through the alleyways. It is a city unlike any other on earth — timeless, beautiful and endlessly captivating.
